Update:  If you have not bought one yet, for a little more the Cisco-linksys USB300M is about $29 and runs great on x64 Windows.

Inside this TRENDnet pastic is a ADMtek ADM8511.

TRENDnet is still in business, but no longer seems to be publishing newer drivers.

ADMtek was sold to owned by Infineon Technologies AG.  Infineon has no support for this product.

Mac Should I believe I read that it works on MACs but I can’t find any files. I’m guessing its in the kernel.
Linux Yes* should use asix mini driver

as of 2009 it should be in most kernels.

Notes:  Based on the x64 driver name and version, I would suggest looking for the NET851x drivers.  Possible the 8513 or 8515.

Specs:

Maximum Speed is 1.5 MB / Sec.  This will not be able to keep up with a 20 mbps link IE FIOS or Cable.  It is handy to have around to play with and provide ad hoc NIC.
